Chicken Fajitas – Fresh Tex-Mex Recipe for Summer
Fajitas originated from Tex-Mex cuisine, a blend of Mexican and Texan culinary traditions. Originally made with marinated beef cuts, chicken fajitas have become a lighter, popular alternative. Perfect for hot days, they offer fresh flavor, vibrant colors, and are ideal for outdoor meals.
Ingredients (serves 4)

500 g chicken breast, sliced

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 onion, sliced

2 tbsp lime or lemon juice

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp ground cumin
-
1 tsp sweet paprika

Salt and pepper

Corn or wheat tortillas

Guacamole, sour cream or salsa
Instructions

Marinate chicken with lime juice, oil, cumin, paprika, salt and pepper for 30 minutes.

Sauté chicken in a hot pan until golden. Remove.

Cook vegetables in the same pan.

Return chicken, mix, and serve in warm tortillas.
