A fresh, vibrant Mediterranean salad perfect for warm days.

Greek salad, or horiatiki, is a staple of rural Greek cuisine. Featuring fresh tomatoes, cucumber, Kalamata olives, and feta, it’s a refreshing and flavorful dish perfect for hot weather. It’s often served with rustic bread and grilled meats.

 Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe tomatoes

  • 1 cucumber

  • 1 green bell pepper

  • 1/2 red onion

  • 150 g feta cheese

  • Kalamata olives

  • Dried oregano, salt, pepper

  • Extra virgin olive oil

  • Red wine vinegar (optional)

 Instructions:

  1. Chop the vegetables.

  2. Combine in a bowl, add olives, and place the feta block on top.

  3. Drizzle with olive oil, season with oregano, salt, and pepper.

 Pairs Well With:

  • Grilled lamb or chicken skewers

  • Pita or rustic bread

  • Dolmades

  • Tzatziki or hummus
